Amanda's frustration grows, Annie stages a fall, and Tad gives JR advice.
Liza and Tad arrive at ConFusion. They spot David and try to get out of his line of sight, but he sees them. He asks Tad if he's seen Jake - Amanda is late to meet him to make a baby! Tad and David get into it over David wanting to have another baby with Amanda - Tad says his ulterior motives are clear! Tad and Liza sit down, and Tad questions her involvement in this. Liza says all she did was draw up a contract - it was the only way David would give them joint custody of Trevor. Liza says it's torture for Jake and Amanda to be apart. She reminds Tad how he would have done anything to bring his child home once upon a time - it's much the same!
At Jake's place, he and Amanda kiss, but he asks her not to tease. Amanda says she needs him to make love to her. Jake says she can't violate her contract, and urges her to keep her eye on the prize. She asks if he wants to kiss the prize? Jake insists that they need to go. Amanda is discouraged at the idea of raising two kids with David in the picture all the time. Jake says they'll figure out a way to get rid of him.
Colby is at JR's house. He tells her that Annie is pregnant with Adam's baby. She is angry at JR for washing his hands of their father - she thinks he needs help. JR tells Colby that he doesn't want them anymore - he wants a new family with Annie. Colby says Annie is using this baby to trap him. JR says Adam only cares about Annie now. Colby wants to see for herself if that's true.
Annie frantically tells Scott in the Chandler living room that she has to do something - she has to tell Adam the truth, that she lied about the pregnancy out of love. Annie feels it will be fine if he hears it from her. Adam appears and asks what she's talking about. Scott steps in and says that Annie is concerned that Adam will no longer help her get custody of Emma now that there is a new baby on the way. Adam reassures her, and says he'll go talk to Barry right now about drawing up a petition. Once he's gone, Annie questions Scott, who says there was a change in plans! Scott explains that he thinks maybe Ryan is bluffing about her not being able to have kids - so that she'd tell Adam. Annie says regardless, she's a walking lie right now. She asks Scott to throw her down the stairs! Scott says she doesn't actually have to fall. Annie argues that Adam has to be convinced. Scott doesn't want the blame for her losing the pretend baby - he won't push her!
Ryan and Erica are at her house bickering about what their next move should be. Ryan feels that Annie will play right into their hands if they're patient, but Erica wants to go tell Adam there's no baby. Ryan says he can't let her do that! He explains that Adam won't believe it coming from either one of them - it's got to come from Annie. Erica is frustrated, and tells him she's tired of being careful. She storms out.
Jake arrives at ConFusion and tells David that Amanda will be along soon. David goads Jake, who informs David he's nothing more than a deposit in a cup. Amanda appears and kisses Jake. David informs them that the clinic where they're doing the procedure is out of town. They bicker about the change in venue, but Amanda just wants to go - this needs to happen today. She and David leave. Ryan passes them on his way in. He grabs Jake's arm and says he needs his help. Jake agrees to do whatever he can - if Annie comes into the hospital faking a miscarriage, he'll make sure he's the one who sees to her.
JR comes into ConFusion and greets Tad and Liza. He tells them he needs Liza's legal advice - he wants to have Adam declared insane! Liza tells him that he needs grounds. JR muses that he married a serial killer without a pre-nup! Tad wonders what JR's motive really is. JR blurts that he needs to be locked up - he killed Uncle Stuart! Tad scoffs, but Liza and JR both say they believe it to be true. Tad protests that it doesn't make sense, but JR says nothing Adam has done makes sense. Liza urges JR to drop the idea of going after Adam. Tad seconds that - he tells JR that he and Marissa can have a fresh start, warning that he'll only make himself sick again if he insists on chasing after Adam!
Colby arrives at the Chandler House, where she hears Adam talking about getting full custody of 'the child' on the phone. She assumes he's talking about the baby - taking full custody and throwing Annie out. Adam gets off the phone and explains that it's Emma he was referring to - he and Annie and the baby want to be a family with Emma. Colby, hurt, asks, "And where will I be?" She confronts him about killing Stuart, which he says was a horrible mistake. Suddenly, they hear Annie scream. They rush into the other room, where they meet Scott rushing in as well. Annie is on the floor saying she tripped and fell down the stairs. Adam gasps, "The baby! My baby!" Annie says she's fine, but Adam insists that she needs to go see a doctor. Scott says he'll carry her upstairs to rest. Colby snarks that Annie will be fine - she never stays down too long! She tells Adam if he's going to let Annie trash his life - she's gone! Scott comes back into the room, where Adam laments the loss of all his children's faith in him. Scott tries to reassure him. Adam wonders if they both have been bewitched by Annie. Just then she appears in the doorway holding her stomach - she thinks she lost the baby!
Colby arrives at ConFusion, where she tells JR he was right about Adam - he's completely taken in by Annie. JR and Liza both vow to be there for her.
Amanda and David are driving in his car. She is upset that he's taking back roads in the dark. He asks why she was late to meet him, but she doesn't want to talk. Suddenly, the car grinds to a halt - they're out of gas. David gets on the cellphone to arrange for a tow truck. He hangs up and breaks the news that it can't come until morning. Amanda accuses him of doing this on purpose so she wouldn't get pregnant right away. David maintains his innocence. Amanda tells him as far as conceiving a baby, it's now or never! They discuss Trevor, and how he was a result of drunken sex. David thinks she's suggesting that they try to conceive that way again!
Ryan is at the hospital. Erica comes in and asks why he wanted her to meet him there. He says that he figured out that Annie will fake a miscarriage to get out of her lie - he's got Jake in on it too. Erica apologizes for her anger earlier. They discuss their personal relationship. Ryan says once Adam confesses and Kendall is free, they'll have a lot more time on their hands - he plans to spend it with her! Jake is nearby calling the clinic to see if Amanda arrived, but they won't give him information. He walks over to Ryan and Erica, and is stopped by a nurse who tells him they've had a call - Annie Lavery Chandler is on her way in!
