Sami and Rafe search for Sydney, Caroline has advice for Bo, Justin comforts Hope and Carly helps Mia.
Bo and Hope discuss her returning home. He wonders if she wants to return home because she loves him or because she wants to keep an eye on Carly. "Both," she replies. Bo’s surprised at her honesty and Hope reminds him Carly replaced her. Bo interrupts. Carly never replaced her and she’s not a threat to them. "Fancy face, you’re the love of my life." He wouldn’t give up his life because she showed up on his doorstep! Hope believes him but is thrown by all of it. Bo doesn’t think she trusts him. Hope admits it’s Carly she doesn’t trust. Bo thinks she’d change her mind if she got to know her but Hope doubts that. Victor doesn’t trust her, either. Bo doesn’t think she should take stock in what Victor has to say and she agrees. She apologizes for not being more compassionate. They profess their love for each other and Hope wants to rush to tell Ciara the good news but Bo doesn’t think it’s a good idea for them to come home just yet. It’s not safe. Hope wants to know more about Carly’s issues but he can’t tell her. They argue and Hope invites him to leave. Bo sadly walks away.
Carly finds Mia moping on the pier. She thinks she could use a friend. She had a gut feeling, considering that when she used to live in Salem, she used to come to the pier to think. Mia admits she has loads of problems to think about. She doesn’t know where to begin. Chad comes upon them and thinks she should start with why she’s a liar. Chad yells at Mia to tell this woman why she was sleeping around. Carly tries to defend Mia while Chad says he got the DNA test results and knows he’s not the father of Sydney. Mia screams that she gave her baby to a good mother. Carly tells Chad to stay the hell away from Mia. Once he leaves, Carly comforts Mia and calls Chad rude and cruel. Mia tells Carly about giving up her child. Sometimes she feels she has made the right choice but she misses her so. Carly thinks Mia must be a good mother. It’s not easy to make a decision like she has. How are her parents with all of this? Mia cries as she admits her parents aren’t a part of her life anymore. She never saw her dad much anyway and things were rough with her mom. She’s been on her own since she became pregnant. Carly feels for her and asks about the people who adopted her baby. Mia says they live in Salem and though she does see her sometimes, the couple is having relationship issues. Still, she knows the right woman is raising her baby. Nicole loves Sydney as though she was her own and Sydney’s the cutest girl in the world. When Carly asks if she looks like Mia, Mia realizes she doesn’t.
Nicole storms into the pub looking for Sydney. She yells that he’s a real insensitive jerk and tells him to get out of her way. He refuses to let her take Sydney from him. Daniel asks her to calm down but she continues to rant at him. Nicole asks why he didn’t tell Chloe he left with Sydney. "I left a note," he says and asks her to sit down and relax! Chloe rushes in and interrupts them and convinces Nicole to go sit down and relax. Daniel thinks something is going on and Chloe vows to find out. She takes Sydney to Nicole, who has calmed down. Chloe tries to convince her to open up so Nicole says everything is wrong. She’s in trouble. Big trouble. She’s worried Sydney’s birth parents will try to take her away. Daniel interrupts and has to leave for work. Nicole apologizes for jumping down his throat and tells Chloe she lucked out. She thought she had that with EJ. "I’m about to lose everything." They walk outside and Nicole asks if Chloe will hide Sydney at her apartment so she can pick up necessities in order to leave town. She reluctantly agrees but appears worried.
Sami rushes around her townhouse looking for her keys. She’s got to find Nicole and Sydney. Rafe stops her. They need a plan. If Nicole detects the slightest bit of anger, she could take Sydney out of the country.
Rafe and Sami arrive at the DiMera mansion, thinking they’ll find Nicole there. Mary answers and says Nicole should be there soon. Sami just wants Sydney. She’s bringing her back to her place for Nicole. Mary goes to find Sydney while Sami melts into Rafe’s arms, saying he’s her hero. "I’d do anything for you," Rafe says. Mary returns moments later, upset. Sydney’s gone! Rafe and Sami leave and Rafe asks Sami to keep Roman out of it. He’ll track Nicole down himself. She should head to the pub.
Chloe tells Daniel over the phone that Sydney’s birth parents are threatening to take her away. She’s babysitting for her at home.
Nicole arrives at Sami’s townhouse to pick up the $50,000.
Justin arrives home and tells Hope he’s not sure how long he can stall Carly’s extradition. Hope shares she told Bo she wanted to come home, but Bo thinks it’s too dangerous. Justin thinks this makes good sense but Hope feels as though she made a fool of herself by confessing to Bo she wanted to go home. She blames herself for creating this mess. "I feel as though I’ve been rejected by my husband for another woman," she cries. Justin doesn’t think she should think of it that way. He’s happy they’re at least opening the lines of communication. Hope agrees, and says maybe it’s her ego that’s hurting. She thought he’d be deliriously happy that she was coming home. She’s afraid for her marriage.
Caroline visits Bo at work, worried about his separation with Hope and about his ex-fiancée moving in. He admits Carly has already come between Hope returning home. Caroline knows this is none of her business but they carry on. Bo relays that Carly’s staying under court order at his place until they can fight extradition. Caroline wonders what Pop would say about this. Bo sighs. He knows Pop would call him a damned fool. Caroline suggests he ask Carly to leave but he can’t.
Sami enters the pub and finds Chad there. He asks if she came over to gloat about Sydney not being his daughter. Sami is confused and asks how he knew. He got the DNA results. Sami’s sorry but Chad doubts it. Now Nicole gets to keep her baby! Sami asks if he has seen Nicole but he hasn’t and wants to be alone. Sami realizes that since her cell phone battery is almost dead, she should go home.
Rafe arrives at the hospital, looking for Sydney. Daniel overhears him talking to a nurse and asks what's up.
Back at Chloe’s place, Rafe busts in the door and demands that Chloe give him the baby!
Nicole finally finds the $50,000 at Sami’s place and is about to leave when Sami walks in!
