Jax confronts Kate for framing Carly, Patrick gets involved in Spinelli's case and Johnny's trial starts Monday!

Patrick has arranged for Anna's favorite breakfast at his apartment. He wants Anna to convince Robin to accept his proposal, but before he gets too far Robin shows up and says blackmail (in the form of raisin scones) won't work. Anna quickly takes her scones and leaves. Robin says that she's done with the marriage talk and asks if they can go to the Thai place for dinner. Once that is settled, Robin says that her dad is really sick and she doesn't know how long she should wait before telling Anna.

Dr. Hunter stops into Spinelli's room and tells Maxie that the infection is getting worse. He says the surgery went well but the problem stems from somewhere else. After he leaves the room, Nadine comes in and tells her that from what she could see Dr. Hunter did everything right during surgery. Maxie asks her to get Patrick anyway. Patrick arrives later and pulls Matt aside. He tells him that he should not have performed such a complex surgery. Matt scoffs at the first comment and says that he's treating the infection by ordering another antibiotic because the first one was obviously counterfeit.

Diane goes over to Sonny's and is happy to see that he is cheerful this morning. She comments that she stopped by Kate's office and happened to see the very stylish wedding invitations on her desk. Then she hands over the one made out to Carly and Jax. She says that it's bad manners to invite your ex to your wedding, especially if you're still having sex with her. Sonny tries to deny it so she mentions the back of the limo. Sonny says that she needs to stay out of his private life and that Carly should never have told her about that. He calls the whole encounter "…practically an accident" and assures Diane that he and Carly are done. He professes his love for Kate, so Diane suggests that not inviting Carly to the wedding would be a good way to prove it.

Kate shows up at Jax's penthouse suite to do some early morning business. A shirtless Jax lets her in and she sees Carly in his bed. The two women share a chilly "Good morning" and Kate gets down to business. After they've made some decisions, Jax asks her to explain why she lied to him to make his wife look bad. He says that he checked phone records and there was no call placed from Crimson to his home about the bogus meeting. Kate reminds him of Carly's various actions and says that she merely wanted to level the playing field, but Jax doesn't want to hear it. Jax says that he may or may not sell his part of Crimson after the launch, but for now she should know that he will replace her at the magazine if she sabotages his wife again. Kate agrees and asks if they can put this behind them. After she leaves, Carly rushes into Jax's arms and thanks him for believing in her. Jax says he was relieved to find out that Kate lied instead of her, but they still have some problems to work out.

As Carly and Jax kiss and make up, Jerry shows up at Jax's door. He is happy to see them together and says they need to discuss Andre Karpov. Carly says that she doesn't know where he gets his information, but for the record, she's done with Karpov. Somewhat satisfied, Jerry leaves.

Scott is overseeing Johnny's transfer to Pentonville when Ric (followed by Claudia) enters the PCPD and produces the paperwork to block it. Scott is furious, but Ric whisks
his client into the interrogation room for a talk. Scott tells Alexis to reverse Lansing's court order but Claudia argues that Alexis isn't going to do anything. Ric comes out and handles Scott, which pleases Claudia immensely. Claudia goes in to see Johnny, and Alexis tells Ric that his client is guilty. Ric informs her that he can drive a truck through the case against Johnny. Alexis offers him a plea bargain of voluntary manslaughter and three years. Ric says that Anthony has too many enemies and Johnny wouldn't survive in prison. Before long, Scott returns and produces Scott the paperwork that shows he will be the prosecutor in Johnny's case rather than Alexis. He says that the trial starts on Monday and he'll have a conviction within the week.

Anna comes into the PCPD and finds Mac. She asks him to help convince Robin to marry Patrick.

Robin finds Liz in the hospital lounge and hears that she thinks a marriage to Patrick is the best choice for all of them. She says that Robin is blessed to have the man she loves willing and able to share her life with her. Later, Robin finds Lainey, Epiphany and Kelly at the nurses' desk and notices that something is up. They tell her that she's crazy about Patrick and she should marry him. Just then Mac and Anna come in and she's happy to see someone on her side. Mac says he isn't so sure.

Over at Sam's place, Lucky thanks Sam for not working last night. Then he expresses his dissatisfaction over the way she's playing Jerry Jacks. He reminds her about the Metro Court hostage crisis and what he is capable of. Sam contends that Jerry is the key to the counterfeit drug ring.

Mike stops by Sonny's place for advice on what to get the couple who has everything. Sonny asks for some faith in his marriage lasting forever. Mike asks if he's having second thoughts. Sonny mentions Diane's misgivings about him marrying anyone other than Carly. Mike cautiously points out that Sonny does have a track record of running back into Carly's arms, and then asks if Sonny is sure that won't happen again. "After Michael was shot, Carly treated me badly and I'm not going to forget that," Sonny says. He closes with a promise to be faithful to Kate.

Later, Kate comes to Sonny's house and admits what she did to Carly. He says it wasn't right for her to frame Carly and now she'll want payback. Kate said that she just got her payback, but she probably won't rest until she's fired from Crimson. Sonny says that the best thing to do is let it go. Kate wants to do damage control with Jax, and their wedding is the perfect opportunity. Sonny doesn't like the idea, but Kate says that Carly will flip out while watching them exchange vows and Jax will finally see his true wife. Sonny says that he's afraid Carly will ruin everything. "What could she possibly do?" Kate asks.

After promising each other complete honesty from now on, Jax and Carly have gone back to bed for a while. During their pillow talk, Jax says that it would be a good move for them to attend Sonny and Kate's wedding. Instead of arguing, Carly says that she wouldn't miss it because she's the one who gets "happily ever after."
