The Young and the Restless - DAILY UPDATES

At Restless Style, Jack and Sharon watch the interview from yesterday on television. At the part where Jack refers to Victor as 'the man with the black hole for a heart', Sharon gasps in disbelief. Jack tells her that sales will be through the roof! Sharon remarks that it feels like they've sold their souls to the devil. "When is it all going to end?" Jack tells his wife that it isn't! Jack wants to do an expose on Phyllis, but Sharon insists that she is tired of all this stuff. Jack wants to talk about writing a tell-all about Victor as well. Sharon says she won't hurt Noah and Nick that way. Jack persists - it's all about getting the truth out! Sharon says that Jack will end up sensationalizing it in order to sell more magazines. "You can't stop yourself Jack!"

Cane and Chloe arrive at Jabot and inform Jill that they are already married. They apologize if they have spoiled the engagement party she had planned, but Jill turns the tables on them. "Now it will just be a wedding reception!" Jill insists that this is very important to her. Chloe and Cane say it will be awkward. Chloe in particular, tries to get Jill to put off the party, and Jill's radar senses something is up. She asks Chloe if she is proud to have married into this family. Chloe replies that of course she is, and Jill replies that it's settled then - the party will be day after tomorrow!

At Newman Enterprises, Adam speaks to someone unseen, telling the person that he has been left Newman Enterprises and he needs to surround himself with people he can trust - that's why he fired Neil Winters. He tells the person that his resume looks good and he'd like to offer him the position of CEO of Newman Enterprises. Adam passes a paper across the desk with the salary he had in mind written on it. A hand reaches out and takes the paper, saying, "I've no doubt the salary is fair. I'll take the position." It's Brad Carlton! They discuss how many opportunities have been lost due to hesitation. Adam is sure that with the two of them running things, Newman will be better than ever before. "It's just too bad my old man won't be around to see it."

Katherine arrives at Jabot and heads in to see Jill. They discuss the article in Restless Style. Jill is blaming it all on Brad, but Katherine says they have bigger problems - the company stock is taking a dive! Jill says she knows and is going to find Brad. As she leaves, Katherine shouts, "Don't you dare walk out on me!"

At Crimson Lights, Nick frets to Phyllis about what Nikki might be getting up to by herself in Mexico. Suddenly J.T. and Victoria arrive. She embraces her brother. "I can't believe that he's gone." She asks where their mother is, and Nick replies, "She ditched me in Mexico!" Paul comes in and insists that he will head back to Mexico to deal with Nikki. Nick wants to go, but Paul says he can give her his full focus now that his daughter has been released from the hospital. Victoria, Nick, Phyllis and J.T. discuss whether or not Victor could still be alive. Victoria wonders whether Nikki will start drinking again. Nick wishes she'd answer her phone. Talk turns to Newman Enterprises, Nick says Adam's probably been running it into the ground. Victoria says she needs to check up on things. Heather arrives and tells Paul that she was really touched that he flew back from Mexico when she was in the hospital. He tells her he will be going back. J.T. tells Nick that while he was away, Jack was trying to track his whereabouts on the computer. J.T. also spills the beans about the things Jack said about Victor in the television interview. Just then, Jill arrives and confronts Nick about the article in the magazine. He insists that it's Jack's - he had nothing to do with it.

At home, Cane asks Chloe why she didn't tell him about the article in Restless Style. She retorts that she has tried several times. He tells her that she works for a smutty magazine. As they continue to bicker, she tells him support goes two ways in a marriage! Cane complains about how little food there is in the fridge, and they begin talking about the baby book she is reading. He says that it's important that the child's parents at least treat each other well. Chloe is sure they can do it. Cane says, "We can try."

Brad arrives at Restless Style and asks to speak to Jack in private. Sharon leaves the room and Brad thanks Jack for printing the article. Jack remarks that it is going to taint Jabot stock, but Brad says he doesn't care. "You're looking at the new CEO of Newman Enterprises!" In the front area of Restless Style, Sharon asks Nick how he is doing with Victor's death. He says he'll get through it just like he did with Cassie. They embrace as Phyllis looks on. Jill comes in and spots Brad. She says that his presence there confirms her suspicions - he's behind the article. As she fires him from Jabot, he smirks. "No problem!" He informs her of his new position. "I'm like a cat; I always land on my feet!" Jill threatens him with a lawsuit, but he smugly says he dealt with far worse. "Bring it on!" Jill then turns to Jack, promising to sue him. She tells Jack that he's bitter because she's running Jabot. Nick, Sharon, and Phyllis hear her and watch her walk out. Nick tells Jack that he makes him sick - he hurts everyone and doesn't care. He tells him that he knows what he said about his dad in the interview. Jack says he is sorry about Victor, but Nick says Jack just continues to gloat and brag, and it's time he did something about it! Jack insists he's sorry about his father, and Nick asks if that's why he was hacking into his server. Jack tells Nick to grow up, and Sharon jumps in and takes Nick's part. Jack shakes his head and says to Phyllis, "I guess we know where her loyalties lay, don't we?" Phyllis replies, "We sure do."

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria finds Adam in Victor's office. She says she is surprised he hasn't had the painting of their dad replaced with one of himself. She then informs him that he can't just waltz in there and take over. Adam smirks that he already has and one of his first pieces of business is to terminate her! "You're fired!" He says he will be surrounding himself people who know the company. Victoria says that he is firing her and has fired Neil - who else is there? Adam tells her the new CEO is Brad Carlton. She tells Adam he would get more loyalty from a snake. She says he and Brad will run the company into the ground, rather than protect their father's legacy. Adam says this isn't about protecting a legacy - it's about moving the company into the future!

Paul and Heather take a table outside at Crimson Lights. He warns that she should think about slowing things down with Adam - he doesn't trust him! Heather says they get each other, and being Victor's son isn't easy. Paul replies that he had a lot of respect for Victor, but he also witnessed what he did to Nikki! Paul warns that if Adam is anything like his father he has a cruel and heartless side! Heather thanks Paul for his concern.

Victoria arrives back at Crimson Lights just as Katherine and Paul are discussing the situation with Nikki. Paul says that he is heading over to the airport, and Katherine says she'll walk him out. J.T. asks Victoria if she saw Adam. She informs her husband that Adam fired her and appointed Brad Carlton as CEO. J.T. says he'd better resign right now. Victoria says he can't do that. "I need you there. I can't let him take the company down with him!"

Jill arrives home and Katherine comes into the living room. Kay says they need to talk. Jill pleads a migraine. Katherine ignores her. She calls Jill on letting David remain in power at Jabot knowing what she did about him. She also remarks on her promising Brad the CEO position and then giving it to Cane. Katherine warns she'll be watching her closer than ever from now on. Jill sighs, "So that's the threat, huh?" Katherine says she just doesn't trust her anymore.

Heather arrives at Newman and finds Adam in the office. He tells her to pack her bags - she's moving into the Ranch with him. She wonders if they should wait - Victor hasn't been gone long. Adam tells her he is sure about this - he's known from the first kiss. She tells him there is something sexy about a man who wants to rule the world. They kiss.

At the bar in Mexico, Nikki looks at her ringing cellphone. Nikki offers the bartender money to tell her everything about Victor and why he got on the boat. He says that Victor paid for his silence and he's an honorable man. He tells her he is sorry for her loss, but she should take her money and go home. She says that Victor is the father of her children and that they all need him. "I can't go home!" On the bar, the cell phone continues to ring unanswered.
